Would you like to try running as a family? Perhaps you enjoy parkrun together but would like to run somewhere different? Would you like to get to know some local places that are great for running with your children? Mud and miles organises family guided trail runs at various locations in the Nottinghamshire / Lincolnshire border area in school holidays. Places we have run so far include the Southwell Trail, Stapleford Woods, and the Wild Run at Sherwood Pines. Wherever we go, there's bound to be some mud not far away and plenty for the children to explore!
Because we love getting families active together, our guided family runs are FREE of charge; all you might need to pay for is car parking (depending on the location) and possibly a hot chocolate for your children at the end too!
Tuesday 8th August 2017 - 10am - Sherwood Pines Wild Run
Tuesday 15th August 2017 - 10am - Belton / Bellmount Tower
Tuesday 22nd August 2017 - 10am - Sherwood Forest
Mud and miles can also provide private family guided runs at a cost of £25 per hour. Please contact us for more information.
What are the runs like?
A variety of runs are offered - some are flat, some undulating and some may have a hill or two thrown in. All are off-road, on footpaths across fields or trails through woods; all will have something that children will enjoy. Runs are usually between 4K and 6K long. Some are out-and-back runs along the same route, others are a loop.
What age of children can come on a family run?
